Atmospheric and heavy, catchy but also complex: All of this applies to CTULU since their foundation in 2004. Back then brought to life by lead guitarist Mathias Junge, the band from Delmenhorst developed constantly since their demo “Zinz Der Zeit”. “Freie Geister” (2008, Northfire Records) and its successor “Sarkomand” (2011, Godeater Records) were other milestones the band has set in their own history. CTULU have also played several gigs in the past with highlights like the Ragnarök Festival in Rieden, Oberpfalz (2010) and the release show for “Sarkomand” at Ragnarök Festival (2011) as well as the the show at Czech Metal Feast (2013). Besides several club shows, this festival appearances speak for their excellent live quality.

Several Line-up changes in the past couldn’t stop CTULU and today the quartet is stronger than ever. “Seelenspiegelsplitter” is the proof of a development at whose end is an album which underlines and tightens their status in the Northern German metal scene. Fast Extreme Metal in the style of Swedish Black Metal which is influenced by a lot of different parts of many Rock and Metal areas – a promise for variety. Catchiness and atmosphere combined. Focused on the guitars, CTULU are ready to capture the listener easily and nothing is more accurate as the bands own description “Seastorming Extreme Metal”. Now they have found the right label with Black Blood Records and therefore “Seelenspiegelsplitter“is ready to be released!
